TGIF indeed: LA is the only place (for now) where you can shop both of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's luxe labels, as Elizabeth and James officially opens at The Grove today. Located next door to MAC Cosmetics in front of the fountain, the boutique is the CFDA-approved twin fashion moguls's first-ever flagship for their contemporary label.

Rather than following the footsteps of their high-end line The Row (which debuted on Melrose Place a few years back), we're told the Olsens selected the tourist-friendly hub because "it's an LA institution" where their customers already shop. The 1,200-square-foot space — designed in collaboration with architect David Montalba — is an ode to the twins's hometown: in addition to stocking E&J's full womenswear, accessories, and fragrance collections, the shop offers its reintroduced denim line, which was absent from the past several seasons.

The design duo also worked with local shops in curating the shelves and decorating the interiors: expect to find a selection of vintage kimonos, tees, and indigo-dyed textiles from Spanish Moss (Scout shopkeep Joey Grana's other vintage venture) and Cali-cool seating (not for sale, sadly) from Galerie Half. Additional in-store exclusives include Elizabeth and James's signature croc-stamped leather bags and pouches, a sleek pink suit set, and linen pants.

Elizabeth and James at The Grove is open Monday through Thursday from 10am to 9pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 10pm, and Sunday from 10am to 9pm.
