With vintage boutiques, consignment stores, and flea markets in just about every neighborhood, our city knows how to pay tribute to style from the past, which is why tastemakers from around the globe flock here to visit the city's many buzz-worthy haunts.

With access to celebrity closets, it's no wonder co-founders Christos Garkinos and Cameron Silver consistently score amazing wares. Foxhole opens its first permanent store in Silver Lake in 2013, and the shop has been a go-to for models and stars ever since. Known for reworking vintage denim into modern, flattering fits and also producing one-of-a-kind household goods (their pillows and blankets are pretty damn brilliant), Foxhole fits right in with the neighborhood's DIY state of mind. The Corner Store

Founded by Stacey Nishimoto, the dreamy shop was born out of the former Nasty Gal stylist's moodboard-worthy @the_corner_store Instagram account. What started as a quick way to make money to pay for her son's preschool (she used to resell her vintage at Painted Bird and Squaresville before going digital) has turned into a full-on phenomenon due to Nishimoto's unique '60s and '70s aesthetic. The IRL store isn't always opened, but 11am to 6pm are the hours; watch out for Nishimoto's announcements on sales. [Photo]
