Where Celebrity Brides Get Beautified in LA

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Celebrity brides: they're just like us, except their weddings may be more magazine-worthy and they've got their own glam squads on speed dial. Naturally, our buzzing beauty scene is also a pampering playground for stylish stars, many of whom prefer to get beautified close to home before their big day.

"LA is really a unique city when it comes to the beauty industry because there are so many talented professionals who work in the field and who are experts of the services they provide," reveals celebrity makeup artist Ernesto Casillas. "We also have the latest and best in Asian relaxation techniques, such as spas and body treatments (like threading, facials, and massages)."

From where The Hills star-turned-designer Lauren Conrad enjoyed last-minute pampering to where Kim Kardashian got (presumably) zapped before becoming Mrs. West and more, see LA's nuptials-ready beautification spots and the celebrities that love them.

Known for its signature exfoliating and rejuvenating treatments, it's no wonder that stars head to this skincare sanctuary when they need to glow before their big day — including frequent client Lauren Conrad, who hit up the luxe pampering salon before she tied the knot with William Tell.

Stars flock to Dr. Simon Ourian's cosmetic and laser surgery center for its dermal lip fillers, Coolaser treatments, and more, including loyal visitor Kim Kardashian, who paid "several visits" before becoming Mrs. West, reports People.

Already an everyday favorite among paparazzi-trailed stars like Emma Roberts, Hilary Duff, and Julianne Hough, the salon's wedding-ready beauty bar is also beloved by famous brides like Whitney Port, who stopped by for her bridal shower hair and makeup.

Helmed by celeb hairstylists (and married couple!) Mara Roszak and Alex Polillo and colorist Denis De Souza, this buzzy new salon's client list already includes A-listers like Emilia Clarke, Lena Heady, and Rita Ora, to name a few. We're told stars prefer privacy when it comes to pre-wedding pampering, and stylists will go to them for their bridal beautification.

Chris McMillian Salon

Known for revamping Miley Cyrus's hair game and creating Jennifer Aniston's iconic "Rachel" cut, Chris McMillian is also a go-to when stars — including Kim Kardashian — are in need of a luxe bridal 'do. Although Aniston managed to keep her nuptials hush-hush, we're betting that McMillian did her big day hairstyle, too.

On top of serving aisle-bound stars at its quickie beauty bar, 901 Melrose Place's team of hairstylists and makeup artists most likely were called upon by stars like Jamie Chung — who married Bryan Greenberg last year — for their bridal hair and makeup.

Andy LeCompte Salon

Nikki Reed headed to longtime hairstylist Andy LeCompte after splitting with Paul McDonald, so we wouldn't be surprised if LeCompte was also responsible for Reed's dreamy wedding day 'do when she tied the knot with Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder.
