Where to Shop French Fashion for Bastille Day in LA

View as Map

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We could very well be paying for our fancy tea in pounds if the Brits (bless their Brexiting hearts) had their way, and we can thank our French friends for that. In honor of Bastille Day — France's national holiday that commemorates the start of the French Revolution — we salute the land that lent us a hand during our little uprising and brought us cool-girl girl icons like Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin.

Today, allow us to celebrate with our stylish soeurs and fashionable frères by shopping their best exports, which will soon include Vanessa Seward and L'Eclaireur. Below, we've rounded up the best French-founded and Parisian-inspired boutiques to shop in LA, many of which are hosting major soldes right now — so grab your beret (but leave that weird baguette bag at home) and allons-y!
