Where to Shop for Swimwear in LA

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Considering the fact that 3/4 of our calendar year is composed of beach-worthy days, we Angelean ladies take our swimwear shopping super seriously. And although that may mean you've got an entire drawer devoted to the garment, we think there's always room for another fun, figure-flattering suit.

Whether you're pool crashing with a gang of girlfriends, taking a "mental health day" to beach-it-up in Malibu, or planning an out-of-town escape, let this list of local shops be your guide for finding that teeny bikini or tasteful one-piece (or hell, all of the above) you've been searching for. We've included some tried-and-true swimwear staples, as well as some recent additions and temporary pop-ups. Now all you need is a faux glow, and you'll be good to go.
