LA's Best Designer Discount Stores That Aren't at Outlet Malls

View as Map

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

From SoCal's many road trip-worthy outlet malls to big-box discount retailers to our city's stellar roster of consignment shops, bargain hunters clearly have a shopping advantage in LA. If you're in the mood for serious treasure hunting or bumping elbows with a zillion other weekend deal hunters, where do you take your not-so-baller wallet for a joy ride?

The secret to stress-free retail therapy can be found at factory stores and off-price indie shops, which offer plenty of designer discounts in a boutique-like setting. Up ahead, we've mapped out where to score major markdowns beyond low-price stalwarts like Nordstrom Rack. As always, shoot us a note in the comments if we missed your faves.

Update: Several stores have closed since this article was published; see the map below.
