Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Sue Di Chio is the creative director behind one of Australia's raddest swimwear labels, Suboo. When she's not busy slaying Miami Swim Week, the babely talent's other stateside haunt is Los Angeles, where she dresses local blogstars (Rumi Neely, Courtney Trop, Christa Jayne) and partakes in some serious shopping sprees.

Given that Di Chio is one of many Down Under darlings enamored with our city's endless retail offerings, we had to ask her which boutiques she and her fellow Aussies sprint to when in town. See below for her take on LA's seven best, and click here to see where you can shop Suboo locally.

"They have an incredible selection of luxury designers, some of which are not as easily available in Australia. It's also beautifully merchandised and feels like they took the time to choose pieces they truly love as opposed to just what's trending." [Photo via]

"Vintage stores often feel cluttered or like the buyers took everything and shoved it on a rack. This is a very well-curated store with a fantastic selection of designer vintage, from Chanel bags to Hermes scarves." [Photo via]
"Downtown has changed so much for the better in the past few years. I'll head over to OAK to stock up on some great edgy basics, then have a cocktail on the roof bar at the Ace Hotel."

"They have such an inspiring selection of housewares that feel very local and unique. It's a great place to pick up a gift for friends back home."

"After stopping into ReForm School, I'll walk over to Mohawk General Store. They have an incredible array of designers like Mansur Gavriel for beautiful handbags or Raquel Allegra for textured tees and dresses. I don't think there's a place in Australia that's quite comparable." [Photo via]

"The store is in Howard Hughes' old headquarters and has a fabulous Art Deco style. They have a wonderful range of luxury designers like Rodarte, Proenza Schouler and The Row, and the space feels like a secret." [Photo via]

"I just had my first baby—a little boy!—a few weeks ago, so I'm looking forward to expanding my shopping to include baby clothes. I've heard quite a lot about Petit Bateau, but since they don't have a dedicated store in Australia, I'm planning to take a look at it on my next trip to LA this month." [Photo via]
