Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

There's not much that Amanda de Cadenet hasn't done. As a renowned fashion and portrait photographer, the LA-based British expat has snapped everyone from Sofia Coppola to Drew Barrymore. As a TV personality, she executive produced and hosted The Conversation, where she engaged in intimate girl talk with the likes of Lady Gaga and Gwyneth Paltrow. De Cadenet is also the mother of one of the globe's rising style stars, Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor. Her latest baby is a new show on Lifetime called Undone with @AmandadeCadenet, premiering tonight at 10:30pm.

To gear us up for her female-driven, social media-powered live talk series, which "explores the hot topics trending in pop culture and features interviews with celebrities or newsmakers," de Cadenet sat down with us to round up a few of her favorite spots in Los Angeles. From foodie joints like DTLA's Grand Central Market to retro fashion emporiums like Highland Park's Avalon Vintage, read on to explore de Cadenet's LA.

"I love Bar Ama! It's run by my friend Chef Josef Centeno. I love his food; everything he makes is incredibly delicious, and clean, and locally sourced. And he is just a magician with food and puts foods together that you never think would work together but are just delicious. I would say I go to him two or three times a week. I adore his cuisine!" "I’m absolutely obsessed with this home and furniture store to the point where I asked them if I could use some of their furniture for my set. I just think they make the best things. They make everything in Los Angeles; which I’ve lived in LA for a long time and I like to utilize as many of the great resources that we have here. And Cisco is a company that for years I have loved and frequented; whether that be for lamps, rugs and sofas. In fact most of my house is Cisco, and now my set." [Photo via]

"They have the absolute best salads. When I’m not at Bar Ama or Hama Sushi, you can find me here. A few favorite places at Grand Central Market include: G&B Coffee for their delicious almond macadamia nut milk cappuccino and amazing pastries, and Valerie for having the best petit fours I think I’ve ever had outside of Europe. I especially love the rose and orange flavors." [Photo via]

"Delicious sashimi! I go there with my kids when I have a date with them. It is so good; it is clean and it is super affordable. They’re really sweet. When I go there with my son, they give him these mini sushi rolls, which he loves. They’re very kind." [Photo via]
