Looking to stimulate your senses—literally, all five of them—this weekend? In addition to the serious flea shopping on Sunday at the Historic Core, downtown-bound folks will no doubt want to check out the intense fashion, music and art experience that is Double Vision going down this Saturday.
Taking place at Angel City Brewery from 1pm to midnight, the free, 21-and-up art haus event will be a pop-up shop on steroids. By day, guests can shop top local talent like artsy label Crybaby Presents, avant-garde jeweler Kittinhawk and over 20 more emerging designers. A runway will be rolled out for an "anti-fashion show" presented by Galerie de l'Absurde, which we expect will bring a whole lot of awe-inspiring je ne sais quoi to the stage.
It gets better: as the sun goes down, the venue will transform into an immersive audio/visual affair with DJs and art and video installations hitting the floor. A Club Called Rhonda's Phyllis Navidad plus a handful of artists from multimedia music label Futra will be spinning tunes. (Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes!)
Plus, food trucks like White Rabbit, Belly Bomz, Coolhaus and more will be on deck to feed the masses. Intrigued? Check out the full line-up of designers and artists here and get a taste of the soundtrack here.
