In addition to being home to the world’s most powerful bloggers, Los Angeles also hosts some of today’s funniest women in Hollywood and beyond. If you’re looking to refresh your Instagram feed, or simply need a small reason to smile amidst this troubling week, we’ve rounded up 11 of our favorite Insta stars to follow right now.
These well-dressed ladies range from YouTube heroes like Lilly Singh and Vine geniuses like Simone Shepherd to in-demand actresses like Chloe Bridges and jacks-of-all-trades like Nicole Richie.
Enjoy, and feel free to give a shout out to your favorite women of Instagram in the comments below.
ERIN FOSTER
Why: Erin Foster is a writer and the star of VH1’s Barely Famous. Although she’s undeniably gorgeous and is actually pretty damn famous (her dad is David Foster and Gigi Hadid is her half-sister), she’s always the first to make fun of herself, making her our dream BFF.
SIMONE SHEPHERD
Why: Beautiful Simone Shepherd is an actor, writer, and director, and has a whopping 3M followers on Vine. Her micro videos are living memes, and we can’t get enough of them.
MARISSA ROSS
Why: Marissa A. Ross has been our girl for years. In addition to having fun with fashion, she’s also a wine editor for Bon Appetit magazine and recently collaborated with Reformation on their #DrinkSustainably series.
LIZ CAREY
Why: Actress Liz Carey is Sophia Amoruso’s hilarious sidekick on Girlboss Radio. Her Instagram caption game is just as strong as her personal style.
CHLOE BRIDGES
Why: Chloe Bridges is a former Disney star and probably the next Angelina Jolie. The stunning actress is dating fellow funny guy Adam DeVine, making them our new favorite Instagram comedy duo. The self-deprication queen also has one of our favorite Insta bios to date: “That one girl on TV with RDF (Resting Duck Face, patent pending).”
LILLY SINGH
Why: YouTube comedy star Lilly Singh moved to LA last year, and already has Hollywood and beauty brands knocking on her door. We’re calling it: this 27-year-old Indian talent is sure to land a fashion campaign in the near future.
KELLY OXFORD
Why: Kelly Oxford is one of the o.g. internet sensations. Her Instagram is just as LOL-heavy as her Twitter, and we kind of love the fact that her three — three! — kids make frequent appearances.
NICOLE RICHIE
Why: Another funny mama we’ve loved forever is Nicole Richie, who first stole our hearts on The Simple Life and kept us laughing on Candidly Nicole. She’s also a well-established designer thanks to her House of Harlow 1960 line, and is as funny IRL as she is on the ‘gram.
CHRISSY TEIGEN
Why: Like Kelly Oxford, new mom Chrissy Teigen first made buzz with her unfiltered Twitter account, offering no-BS opinions and frequently retweeted one-liners. Although she still has the best tweets, we’re also loving her Instagram, where she expertly captions fun photos of her and her family.
GRACE HELBIG
Why: YouTube star turned E! star turned YouTube star again Grace Helbig dresses cute and has a talent for dreaming of brilliant video concepts, like how to camp at home.
ANNA KENDRICK
Why: Anna Kendrick truly is the complete package. The A-list actress can sing, dance, act (duh), and casually hang with legends. She also collaborated with the one and only Justin Timberlake on a song, proving that funny girls really do have more fun.
