Hello Kitty may be 40 years young, but she clearly knows how to charm people’s hearts by way of their tummies. After rolling her cute food truck through America’s shopping centers (including Glendale soon!), the non-cat is opening her first sorta-permanent U.S. Hello Kitty Café in SoCal next week.

The Sanrio superstar’s adorable pink shipping container is headed to the Irvine Spectrum Center for an entire year starting next Friday, July 15th. It’ll be setting up shop at the outdoor OC mall’s Giant Wheel Court, where shoppers can swing by for sweet treats and coffee at its pop-out patio. The menu will feature pies, cakes, artisanal sodas, and Portola Coffee Lab drinks; later this year, the eatery will roll out daily tea service and more treats featuring the faces of Hello Kitty’s friends.

Ready for an Orange County road trip? The supercute mini-resto will be celebrating its year-long stay in the OC with a full sched of grand opening festivities, giveaways, and more from July 15th through 17th; hit up the café’s Facebook page for details as they’re announced here.
