Singer Dominique Pruitt's musical inspirations are as colorful a mix as her typical #OOTD. The LA native, who could be listening to The Cramps one minute and Patsy Cline the next, is on a mission to bring her brand of soulful country tunes to her Silver Lake neighborhood and beyond.
While we wait for our next chance to catch Pruitt crooning, we'll happily admire her eye-catching style. With flame-hued (and perfectly-coiffed, we might add) hair, a technicolor dream wardrobe heavily stocked with vintage finds, and — of course — all that ink, which has us contemplating hitting up the nearest tattoo shop, this girl's pin-up vibe has certainly earned our attention. That's why we spotlighting the songstress, who splits time between LA and Joshua Tree (you can rent her dreamy desert home via Airbnb), as our fashion inspo du jour.
On a recent meet-up, we not only quizzed Pruitt about the deets of her summer ensemble, but also learned the elusive garment she's yet to find, and the '90s TV character that's her surprising source of inspiration.

My dress is a 1950's Emma Domb that had been hemmed super-short before I got my hands on it. I think hemming true vintage is sacrilege, but I also love this dress just how I found it! It was $6 at a thrift store in the valley. My gold horse cuff is my favorite, it's vintage Hermès. My purse and shoes I found at an antique store in the desert — both deadstock with original tags. I have an Airbnb vacation home in Joshua Tree so I'm always hitting up those antique shops for treasures. My glasses are Prada, they were my splurge on my trip to Europe in 2012. I searched for these white ones in particular in Paris and Florence but finally found them in my favorite city, Barcelona!

Pinup, colorful, fun!
What LA boutique is your happy place?
I'm pretty obsessed with Squaresville in Los Feliz.
What fashion item are you obsessed with buying right now?
Good vintage tees and cowboy boots.
What are you currently on the hunt for?
I'm finding it near impossible to find the perfect pair of high waisted, dark indigo, jean shorts with a cuff, that aren't cutoff. Dying for a perfect pair for summer! Also hunting for easy cotton 50s dresses.
