Culver City Ladies, Drybar is Coming to Fix Future Bad Hair Days

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Regardless of the slight price bump back in May (still budget-friendly at $45), we're happily heading to California's leading blowout chain Drybar to tame our unruly tresses on dreaded bad hair days. And beginning next week, ladies living in the Culver City area will get to benefit from the brand's signature styles as well.

Just when we thought that — with the addition of fashion-happy shopping complex Platform — the neighborhood couldn't get any cooler, the hair haven is headed to Culver City's Downtown area to get residents's manes in check. The official opening takes place Friday, August 5th and if you're dying to pop in for the celebration (and of course the glass of bubbly, that we'll never turn down) be sure to schedule your blowout here.

The salon's regular hours will be 7am to 8pm Mondays through Wednesdays, Thursday through Friday from 7am to 9pm, Saturday from 8am to 9pm, and Sunday from 9am to 7pm.
