Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Well this isn't exactly the kind of rain we were expecting this Wednesday. After 12 years on West Third Street, essential LA boutique Satine is closing its doors tomorrow. (Could this be why they were feeling extra generous earlier this month?)
We're told the luxury designer boutique's Abbot Kinney outpost will become its new flagship and will continue to stock the same stellar inventory of cult-cool labels. Say farewell to Satine's OG digs (which is actually its second shop on West Third after swapping spaces six years ago) today and tomorrow and enjoy up to 80% off while you're at it; there's still a small selection of dresses and more from MSGM, Solace London, and Ripley Rader; denim by Alexander Wang; and footwear by Brother Vellies; to name a few.
See you in Venice, Satine!
