Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The on-demand delivery service is back at it again with another cool fashion partnership. Postmates is smartly capitalizing on the notion that everyone could have a personal assistant in the same way Uber uses the idea that everyone could have a private driver. The next brand on tap? LA’s own eyeglasses and sunnies purveyor, Warby Parker.
It’s beyond easy; you order something online and within an hour, a Postmate brings it to your door. The latest partnership with Warby Parker comes on the heels of Postmates teaming up with Stone Cold Fox and Styled by Noir, forcing us to stop thinking of on-demand as movies and food.
Want to try it? You can now shop select sunglasses in the app or on Postmates, purchase them, and then sit back with a cold drink and wait for them to show up at your house. To celebrate the new campaign, Postmates is currently offering a flat delivery fee of $2.99 for any number of Warby Parker sunnies you order. Take note that if you want to exchange them, that has to be done in-store.
