Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The latest collection from super cool LA jewelry designer Jess Hannah's line J. Hannah dropped recently and we're already loving the mix of old and new that's evident across all the new pieces. Jess is known for imparting special meaning in her designs, with heavy inspiration from her grandmother's jewelry box items, and her new lineup is no exception.

We're particularly loving the Clara choker, crafted with a vintage piece from the 1950's in mind. With four 14k oval beads on a simple chain (available for $595 in yellow, white, or rose gold), the necklace is minimal but richly evocative of older times, and fancy without being fussy.

The best part? Like the rest of the J. Hannah collection, the Clara is made in LA using Jess's sustainable manufacturing processes and distinct love and care for each piece she creates, as well as the environment around her. It's totally LA, totally cute, and guaranteed to become a significant part of our summer necklace rotation.
