The Palatines’s Cool Sandals and Slip-Ons Are Coming to Los Feliz

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

You've likely seen The Palatines's summer-perfect slip-ons (we'll take one in every shade, thanks) at the city's coolest retailers including Mixed Business, Calder Blake, and Ali Golden, but the mimimalist footwear brand has yet to pack the entire breadth of their sleek handcrafted styles under one roof. Lucky for all of us, that's all changing next week.

Beginning Monday, June 13th, the local line brings their whole collection to Desiree Klein's Los Feliz storefront for a week-long pop-up. While you can always take advantage of shopping the pumps, clogs, heels, and more (in addition to that best-selling style, of course) online, the temporary space is a great option for those of us who prefer to do their shoe shopping IRL.

The shop will be open daily from 12pm to 7pm through the following Saturday, and The Palatines is even bringing in fellow LA-based brands Botanica Workshop and ARE Studio at the end of the week for some closing festivities. Stop by Friday from 6pm to 9pm to not only pick up pretty and sustainable undies and modern clothing and accessories, but sip wine courtesy of Mercer Estates. If you can't make it to that soireé, you'll still be able to shop the aforementioned labels's goods the next day.
