Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Another day, another store opening for one of LA's lifestyle centers. Over at Culver City’s Platform, two more cool retailers have joined the Metro-friendly stop's stylish roster this past week.
In addition to providing Platform's al fresco seating, urban outdoor furnishings studio Ilane de Venice has opened its second Westside boutique (its first is on Abbot Kinney) at the mixed-use hub. The shop offers IDV's new California Gold collection of sleek seating and planters, plus a selection of air plants, pillows, blankets, and more home goods.
Popping up in over Aday's former space is Day's Market, a luxe boutique curated by footwear designer (and our juice pal) Brandon Day. The shop stocks LA designer (formerly of C&C California) Cheyann Benedict's boho-cool womenswear alongside shoes from Generic Man and Generic Surplus and more.
