Kitross Takes Over Legendary Retailer Kitson on Robertson

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Not long after Kitson shuttered its doors earlier this year, founder Fraser Ross exclusively revealed to us that he'd be returning to retail very, very soon. The legendary LA boutique chain's Robertson flagship has been transformed into Kitross, which made its soft debut last week.

Although most of the floor is dedicated to giftables and small goods the boutique still offers a selection of clothing. The women's department stocks graphic tees and more by Lauren Moshi, denim by Paul & Joe Sister, activewear by Yeba, jewelry by The Giving Keys, and backpacks by LA blogstar Chiara Ferragni; over in men's, expect to find bags by Sandqvist, fragrances by Eight & Bob, and even Von Dutch trucker hats.

There's merch for kids, too, including apparel from labels like Chaser, Haus of Jr., and Mimobee. As far as those "take-and-go" items that Ross previously mentioned, highlights include summer essentials by Sunnylife, tongue-in-cheek accessories by LA Trading Co., embroidered souvenir pillows, and more.
