Garrett Leight’s Gorgeous New Venice Shop Has an Optical Lab

Garrett Leight California Optical is so hot that it has not one, but two stores on Venice's Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Following its existing shop at 1423 Abbot Kinney that opened in November 2009, the LA-based, ultra-stylish company can also be found at 1522 Abbot Kinney now, making this GLCO's fourth storefront.

In addition to offering stylish sunglasses, what sets this location apart is its full-service optical lab, a first for GLCO, that can produce single vision prescription lenses in just one hour. The brand tells us that its new lab — fully displayed in a 100-square-foot room — can also create "custom matte acetate frame, install custom sunglass lenses, custom dye lenses, and repair frames all in a matter of minutes."

One more dope touch: this fall, GLCO Venice will also unveil a 250-square-foot outdoor garden in the back, which will be the perfect place to take all your westside adventure Instagrams.

GLCO Venice is open Monday through Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
