Fashionable four-eyes in LA know that Gogosha Optique is a go-to source for the latest in cool, contemporary eyewear styles buy some truly talented independent brands. And come this Saturday, the stylish retailer's Silver Lake location (there's also a recently remodeled shop on West 3rd Street) puts a spotlight on two Japanese lines in particular, both by a designer known for his sleek, androgynous styles that shop owner Julia Gogosha calls "unisexy," a dude whose designs caught the eye of glasses aficionado — oh, and mega popular musician — John Mayer.
One of the lines is Max Pittion, a previously defunct line that was revived by the Grammy winning artist a few years ago when he teamed up with designer Tommy O'Gara. Native Sons, the other eyewear brand to be featured at this weekend's event, is also the creative brainchild of O'Gara, who will be on-hand for a meet and greet.
From 3pm to 8pm, those interested in browsing the bevy of handsome frames can stop in for a fitting (and style advice from the designer), but Gogosha strongly suggests making an appointment to do so. Get yours by calling 323-660-1122.
