Make Your Own Geo Terrariums At Rolling Greens

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Rolling Greens Nursery, the undisputed champion of hip plant spots in LA, has a great lineup of cool summer events and workshops planned where you can really sink your teeth into some succulents while you learn the ins and outs of plant design.  The nursery's latest pop-up series includes a special geometric terrarium class and based on the website photos, we need to get involved because it's the cutest thing ever.

All you have to do is sign up for the class here, drop $25, and Rolling Greens will provide you with a hanging glass geometric terrarium, white or black gravel, one Tillandsia (an especially pretty little air plant), one succulent, lush reindeer moss, finishing twine, and of course, one-on-one instructions led by an experienced staff artist. After you learn how to make these adorable accessories, you'll be able to impress your friends with your mad skills (or bring them to the workshop too and turn it into a little party).

The pop-up workshop series is on the books for Friday, June 24th and Friday, July 1st, on both days from 2 to 4pm, and the nursery notes that walk-ins are welcome if you're unable to sign up. Wouldn't these also make fun summer gifts?
