Remember the girl in high school who could sit at the fashion folk table, chill at the chess club, and hang with the thespians? That's Rashida Jones in a nutshell. Last night, the LA-raised Angie Tribeca star gave Rachel Comey a warm West Coast welcome during the indie designer's grand opening bash at her new Melrose Place boutique.
The guest list included experimental entertainer/artist Miranda July, former Sonic Youth frontwoman Kim Gordon, actress Busy Phillips, and designer Sophie Buhai — basically, our BFF wish list. After circling around the artsy-cool crowd (did you catch us on Snapchat at rackeddotcom?), we pulled Jones aside for a quick getting-to-know-you chat.
Since we already know what her holistic fitness routine looks like, we asked the cool-girl writer and fashion collaborator (ahem, and Harvard grad!) where she eats and shops in LA, her favorite beauty buys, and more.

I love Creatures of Comfort.
What's on heavy rotation in your closet:
All of my Rachel stuff is my favorite; I have a couple of her jumpsuits that I love.

Something like '70s AM gold, The Eagles, or Hall & Oates.

Jon & Vinny's; they're so good.
Best item on the menu:
Everything! The pizza. The angel hair pasta there is really good, too.
