On May 31, 2006, Los Angeles — and the world, really — became a better place when The Hills premiered its very first episode on MTV. Although the cult-favorite "reality" series was a Hollywood Hills spin-off of Orange County-based Laguna Beach, it quickly developed into its own phenomenon, thanks to a cast filled with unfiltered, stylish (at the time!) young adults, just trying to figure it all out. Angelenos were going through everything they were going through — and partying everywhere they were partying — but with way less money, which is why The Hills was fascinating to watch.
Ten years later, we're pleased to report that Lauren Conrad and her frenemies are all doing just fine. As documented on their individual Instagram accounts, everyone has either started their own business or family or both, and no one is interested in reliving their drama-filled Hills days.
Although we don't get to tune into their lives on a weekly basis anymore, here's a look at what they're up to these days, thanks to the power of social media.
Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad is by far one of the most successful Hills alums, as she's now a legit fashion designer, best-selling author, and beauty guru. In 2014 she married law school graduate William Tell, and later this year she'll appear on a reunion special for MTV. Above is a behind-the-scenes peek at the filming, in which Conrad appears to be sideeyeing the camera she knows all too well.
Audrina Patridge
Once boy crazy Audrina is now pregnant! She's expecting a girl with her fiancé, professional BMX dirt bike rider Corey Bohan. Here's a recap of her baby shower, where there were sadly no Hills cast cameos but instead the cutest baby bump in all the land.
Whitney Port
Whitney is also a successful fashion designer. Last year, she married Tim Rosenman, who was an associate producer on her own Hills spin-off, The City.
Kristin Cavallari
Perhaps one of the most surprising Hills transformations is Kristin, a once major party girl and heartbreaker. In 2013, she married Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and they have three children together. Three!
Brody Jenner
Huge congrats to Brody Jenner, who recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter, the gorgeous co-founder of LA label Foray Collective.
Frankie Delgado
Super club promoter Frankie Delgado was Jenner's right-hand party man back in the day, but now he's a happily married man with a very cute daughter.
Justin Bobby
Ah, Justin Bobby — the original bad boy. You'll be pleased to know that Justin is still a badass and keeps busy cutting hair, riding bikes, and touring with his band, BobbyrocK.
Heidi Montag
Heidi is still married to Spencer Pratt, and calls herself a "dog mom, actress, singer, lover, explorer, entrepreneur, chef, and lover of life." She's one of the more supportive Hills alums, posing with Kristin's new book, and posting a throwback of her Rolling Stone cover with the girls.
Spencer Pratt
Spencer is still a character and still collects crystals.
Stephanie Pratt
Stephanie seems to have distanced herself from her brother completely, so much so that she spends most of her time way out in Europe. (She's big in London now.)
Lo Bosworth
Lo moved to New York, and last year she won Bloglovin's Best Celeb Blog award for TheLoDown. She's also a new dog mom to an adorable little guy.
Jen Bunney
Former shade-thrower Jen Bunney is now Jennifer Bunney, and she's incredibly smart. The married woman has a Masters in Public Health from UC Berkeley, among other degrees, and her LinkedIn page is no joke.
Emily Weiss
Although Emily aka the "Super Intern" was on The Hills for a split second, we'll never forget how she drove Whitney crazy with her perfection while they worked at Teen Vogue. These days, Emily is a major mogul, running a successful beauty blog called Into the Gloss and a game-changing beauty brand called Glossier that has everyone talking.
Stephen Colleti
Okay, Stephen was really a star on Laguna Beach and had only a few cameos on The Hills, but we couldn't resist including the babyfaced romantic. He's now a semi-busy actor and fills his Instagram up with lots of picturesque adventures.
