With the election around the corner, political organization LA2050 is throwing a rad Election Night Block Party to create awareness around Tuesday's election with the hope of increasing voter turnout (we're looking at you, Millenials). Now you have a great place to party after you vote.

The event is scheduled for 7-9pm on Tuesday, June 7th at The Unique Space, and you can expect lots of free food, an open bar (slow clap), games, craft projects, a live DJ, swag bags, and more. There will also be special contests for people who wear their "I Voted" stickers. Partners in the event include Angel City Brewing, First Avenue Vodka, Nation Builder, Honest Tea, Califia Farms, KIND, OM Digital, and Grubhub.

This is a great, cool way to get involved in the political system and to celebrate social activism and community action, so show up, eat, drink, be merry and don't you dare forget to vote. It's definitely going to be an Insta-worthy event, so use the hashtag #partyatthepolls to spread the word. The even is open to the public and free, but you should RSVP here.
