SILVER LAKE—Notable LA-area artist Marisa de la Peña is bringing her whimsical paintings to Los Angeles County Store (4333 W Sunset Boulevard). Opening this Saturday from 6-8pm, the art show promises a fun look at the dogs who populate our town. Says Marisa, "I have been a dog person all of my life and I can say proudly that I am also an Angelino. I love being able to explore this huge city and especially more with my dog, Klaus. This led me to create this series of paintings and objects to showcase the diversity of this massive city and its canine inhabitants." The show also promises chocolate tastings, which is awesome.
VENICE—Super-cool shop Negarin London (1121-2 Abbot Kinney Boulevard) is teaming up with Beautycounter Clean Beauty and jewelry by Denise Solis. You'll also be able to shop pretty accessories and learn from Denise which pieces are perfect for your wardrobe. Stop by on Saturday anytime from 10am-5pm, but definitely send an RSVP to contact@negarinlondon.com.
