Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Following last year's sad shutterings, the Historic Core is slowly but surely rebuilding its vintage scene. Filling the kaleidoscopic void is Quirk, a new vintage boutique that opened last month.
Located by the stylish corner of Sixth and Main Streets, the shop offers affordable designer treasures curated by co-founder and LA costume designer/stylist Melynda Choothesa. Expect to find merch spanning from the '40s to modern times, like women's clothing by Givenchy and the Kooples, menswear by Rag & Bone, footwear by Bally, costume jewelry by Napier, and much more alongside new wooden sunnies by Kahoy Kollection (the space also serves as the eyewear brand's flagship store).
