Perhaps Sunday's Met Gala had celebrities inspired to amp up their own wardrobe (though they might have to wait a while to score their own glow-in-the-dark ballgown), because whether or not they were actually in attendance at the NYC event, they were certainly hitting up LA's shopping scene this week.

When superstar stylist-turned-designer (among a laundry list of other titles) Rachel Zoe stopped at XIV Karats in Beverly Hills on Thursday, maybe she was motivated by the parade of bling that inundated our eyeballs on the red carpet (Emily Blunt's killer earcuffs or Nicole Kidman's antique-y tiara, for example). Though we can't be sure if she picked up any sparklers while in the celeb-frequented shop (a longtime fave of the Kardashian/Jenner clan), what we do know is how chic she looked while shopping—duh.

Zoe took advantage of the overcast day with a black toggle cape paired with flared denim and a black handbag nearly half her size (standard). But her adorable son Skylar, who accompanied her, was arguably the trendsetter's best accessory.
