A Fred Segal SaMo Favorite Relocates Its Luxe Boutique to West Third Street

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Fred Segal SaMo may seem like just a distant memory now, but its spirit lives on in West Third Street, where one of its shop-in-shops quietly resettled a few months back. Formerly The Parliament, the currently nameless boutique took over Jane's former space not far from fellow newbie Raquel Allegra.

The bright lifestyle shop stocks a mix of classic and cult-fave luxury labels, like Coach, Iro, Giada Forte, A.L.C., Jenni Kayne, and Greg Lauren in the women's department and Gitman Bros., Stone Island, Engineered Garments, and Comme des Garçons Play over in the men's area. In addition, find denim, leather bags, and footwear by Golden Goose on both sides, plus a selection of stylish coffee table books, audio accessories, and fragrance.

Store owner Daniel Lipkin tells us he'll be phasing out menswear and that a fresh new moniker is still in the works; swing by the shop and feel free to throw any ideas his way.
