Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
DOWNTOWN — Comfortable, feminine, stylish line Corinne is opening its doors for a day of shopping (yes ladies, that includes champagne) at their studio, Space 307 (411 W 7th Street) alongside other LA design luminaries like Androgyny Design, Communion by Joy, and Morgan Patricia Designs. Head downtown tomorrow from 12-3pm to shop their delightful, LA-casual pieces and hit up the other designers as well for a fully rounded shopping experience.
DOWNTOWN — Arranged by the avant-garde Griffith Park Teahouse artists, this weekend a shower of purple jacaranda flowers will rain down at two TBA locations in DTLA this Sunday. Look for the announcement at sunrise on Sunday by hitting up Petal Drop LA's Twitter or Instagram and make sure to wear comfy shoes. The pop-up art installation will definitely take place at an industrial site, and according to a press release by the collective, Petal Drop LA will include thousands of fallen jacaranda blossoms to create a “surreal factory” that will only last through the morning. So Insta-worthy right now.
