Inside Our Hip Hop Yoga Party (Plus Rebecca Minkoff's Wellness Tips!)

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

After a brief Racked Fit Club hiatus, our free fitness program returned in full force at Rebecca Minkoff Melrose, where a handful of loyal readers joined us for candlelit hip hop yoga with Y7.

Although the 45-minute class was rather brief, it was definitely challenging, as our lovely instructor Erin led us through a fast-paced practice complemented by sweet beats. The serious sweat session only made the after party that much more rewarding, where Sambazon hosted a delicious acai bowl bar and Point Studio gifted everyone with its print-tastic grip socks.

Check out party photos above. Since designer Rebecca Minkoff couldn't be there (her awesome team held down the fort on her behalf), we asked the inspiring NY-based mother of two to share some of her health, fitness, and beauty essentials.

What's your favorite piece RM Athleisure piece?

I love the bras and leggings. They're so comfy!

What's your go-to weekly workout?

I work out twice a week. It's all I have time for, but it's intense. I do a combination of strength training and cardio.

With a busy schedule like yours, what are a few small things you do to stay active throughout the day?

Once I'm at the office, I'm nonstop. I'm running around to so many meetings and booked every hour — it really keeps me out of sitting in a chair all day.

What do you eat for breakfast to keep you fueled?

I love a smoothie from Hu Kitchen!

What are your current favorite beauty/skincare products?

I'm obsessed with Shani Darden's Retinol Reform and I use the Honest Beauty Balm for dry spots.
