Given its beach-minded basics and globetrotter vibes, Faherty could've fooled us for a SoCal-bred brand. In fact, the lifestyle label was founded in New York by surf-obsessed twins Alex and Mike Faherty, who fittingly debuted their first West Coast boutique yesterday at Malibu Country Mart.
Offering the USA-made brand's sustainably produced apparel, swimwear, and accessories, the 1,000-square-foot space features cool coastal touches like whitewashed wood accents and vintage surfboards. Expect to find women's and men's merch alongside beach gear, including bestsellers like indigo knitwear, lightweight flannel button-downs, printastic ponchos, and beach blankets. In addition, pick up Faherty's latest collection of eco-friendly bikinis and one-pieces, set to arrive in store Memorial Day weekend.
And about that Newport Beach outpost: it's set to open at buzzy designer-filled development Lido Marina Village this summer.
Faherty at Malibu Country Mart is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
