Leave it to our girl Rihanna to slay the 2016 Billboard Music Awards red carpet in the most unexpected way. While so many ladies went with a "less is more" philosophy (we're looking at you, Ciara's side boob) RiRi went against the grain with a coat dress that looks like it was pulled from the Designing Women wardrobe archives. Or Maybe Dynasty. Could be Golden Girls, too. You get the idea.

Reminiscent of 1/2 of a 1980s power suit, the songstress's brown (yep, brown) Thierry Mugler dress was (duh) a vintage piece, which she accessorized with Manolo Blahnik pumps and a crispy-looking bob. The polarizing look may have many of us scratching our heads, but at least the girl's got us all talking about her — as per usual.
