Although Faherty's surf-inspired clothing are practically synonymous with LA, the NY-bred brand has been cautiously testing the retail waters in LA. Twin founders Alex and Mike Faherty are finally going bicoastal with their first west coast flagship at Malibu Country Mart, which opens next Monday. (It's about time!)

The 1,000-square-foot boutique will carry the sustainable, globally-inspired brand's women's and men's ready-to-wear and swimwear collections alongside a selection of beach-ready goods and accessories. Surf shack-inspired decor elements like vintage surfboards, bamboo accents, and whitewashed barn wood will complement Faherty's Native American- and Japanese heritage-influenced sensibilities.

Up next: a second SoCal boutique in Newport Beach, set to open next month.
