It's been quite some time since we checked in on East Hollywood, which will soon score a cool creative hub in a historic building. Local leather goods label Made Solid is kicking off the Merrick Building's retail revival with its new boutique and workshop, set to open Saturday, June 18th.

Influenced by its founders's SoCal and Japanese roots with a taste of heritage Americana, the brand will fill its 730-square-foot space with handmade natural leather bags, indigo-dyed wallets, and home goods; beaded jewelry; and more. Husband-and-wife founders Peter and Mia Maxwell will also stock merch from an array of local and global designers and artists, plus host regular community-minded events.

Stay tuned for more!
