Over the last two decades, Colette's ultra-luxe accoutrements have decked out the décolletages of Rihanna, Madonna, Katy Perry, and other famous diamond devotees. Fine jewelry designer Colette Steckel's starry superfans can once again shop her ethereal gems when her boutique opens on Melrose Place in early or mid-June.
Currently stocked locally at luxe shops like Maxfield and Neiman Marcus and in far-flung fashion havens like France's Montaigne Market, Italy's Luisa Via Roma, Azerbaijan's Emporium 153 (who knew?), and her own store in Mexico, the Parisian-Mexican designer has nabbed the tucked-away space behind the new Alfred Tea and beneath The Apartment by The Line (not far from her previous coordinates). It'll house her intricate 18k gold adornments inspired by nature and the heavens, from three-finger antler rings priced at $7350 to beetle pendant necklaces for $2380 to otherworldly hand pieces for a cool $32K. Stay tuned for more.
Update 5/17, 12pm: A previous version of this article noted that the shop would open Monday; the jeweler's reps tell us that although the doors did appear open yesterday, the space is still under construction and won't will officially debut until next month.
