Kesha is back and better than ever. After belting out a beautiful rendition of Lady Gaga's "Til It Happens to You" at last weekend's Humane Society Gala, the 29-year-old pop star has been spotted all over LA in more palpable versions of her past statement looks. What her new outfits lack in shock value they gain in detail; you just have to take a closer look to get it.

The most recent sighting was at LAX, where a rainbow-coiffed Kesha wore a long, custom-made kimono by local designer Johnny Was. This wasn't just any version of the Japanese traditional garment-turned-California bohemian boutique essential; this kimono costs a whopping $4,200, according to the brand's website. Johnny Was promoted the look on its Instagram and below you can see a rather grainy image of the singer having a laugh with her pal at the airport.
