COSTA MESA—Maybe it's a trek, but Costa Mesa has some of the best shopping in SoCal. Head down there tomorrow to hit up beach bunny boutique Amuse Society's festival shopping pop-up from 2-7pm at the Band of Martians Showroom (1043 Center Street, B-1). You'll get a chance to be styled by Amuse co-founder Mandy Fry if you're there for the sip-and-shop happy hour from 5-7pm, but you can still shop if you get there earlier. The pop-up continues on Saturday from 10am-4pm, and you'll find great brands like Acacia Swimwear, Brixton Hats, and of course the new collection from Amuse.
DOWNTOWN—Ultra-hip bar/lounge Pattern Bar (100 W 9th Street) is coming together with ultra-hip streetwear brand Zanerobe for the LA outpost of an insane 48-hour global pop-up experience. The crazy shopping spree starts at 10am tomorrow and runs until 6pm on Saturday, with seriously great deals on pretty much everything. Expect limited-edition pieces at warehouse prices followed by a kickass closing party. Go to their Facebook event page for more information, and no RSVP is needed to join in the madness.
