Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Stacey Bendet, fashion's cartoon-like queen of Gumby-like poses and Coke bottle sunnies, never ceases to surprise us. On top of putting her technicolor touch on the Grateful Dead's iconic trippy bear, the Deadhead designer is also joining the See-Now-Buy-Now movement with her collab's runway show next week. (WWD notes Bendet's husband is producing a doc on the jam band with Martin Scorcese, among others.)
Happening at Hollywood's NeueHouse next Wednesday, April 13th at 7pm, the Neiman Marcus-powered event will showcase the Grateful Dead x Alice + Olivia capsule collection alongside limited-edition pieces from the sprightly brand's spring 2016 collection. The full fest-ready range—which includes embroidered tees, beaded skirts, footwear, and accessories ($165 to $1,298)—will be shoppable immediately online following the show, and select pieces will also be available at Neiman's Beverly Hills store.
Can't watch the catwalk in person? The show will be streamed on both Neiman Marcus and Alice + Olivia's Periscope and Facebook Live channels.
