Hong Kong-Bred Brand iiJin Ditches Robertson for Melrose

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Two years after debuting its blingy flatforms and sequined sweaters on Robertson, Hong Kong-based brand iiJin has ditched the struggling stretch for Melrose Avenue. The label (pronounced "e-gene") leaves at a time when the once-buzzing street hopes to get back on its feet with Kitson 2.0's revival.

Staff at the store tell us that they relocated about a month ago a few blocks east of Fairfax. The inventive streetwear-inspired brand currently unleashing major deals on its spring collection, so swing by the shop if you're in the market for beaded statement pieces and floral print kicks.
