If you thought nothing exciting happens in Montebello, think again. In what may be the wildest LA shoplifting scheme since The Bling Ring, yesterday a three-week investigation culminated with the arrest of two people who allegedly stole more than $500,000 from the Southland neighborhood's local Victoria's Secret and JC Penney stores. That's a lot of bras.

ABC 7 reports that the shoplifting bust leaders were Gabriel Contreras, 23, and Guadalupe Rocio Morales, 34, and police uncovered "a significant amount of clothes, handbags, makeup, perfume and lotions" from the two retailers at Contreras's home, totaling $489,000. An additional $20,000 worth of stolen merch was found at a home in Riverside.

We want to know how they made it out of each store with that much merchandise.
