Superfans of LA designer Raquel Allegra may know that she was "discovered" while working in her signature shredded wonders at Barneys. Ten years later, the queen of the cobweb tee is returning to retail with a store of her own in May.
As LA Times reports, the Chranukkah celebrator is opening her first boutique on West Third Street, which "she prefers over Rodeo Drive or Melrose Place." The designer—whose edgy-boho creations have been spotted on all of the Kates—has apparently been hammering away at the store for a year to get "the ambience right," she tells the local newspaper.
