Sweat enthusiasts are losing a legendary SoCal mecca for adventure gear. Sport Chalet announced Saturday that it will close all 47 of its stores, including the cool specialty shop that opened in DTLA three years back.
Per the La Cañada Flintridge-based chain's website, "all Sport Chalet stores will remain open for several weeks, offering customers the opportunity to use their remaining rewards and gift cards, and to take advantage of great sales."
No precise closing dates have been set, but the 57-year-old retailer—which began as a tiny ski shop, notes LA Times—states on its site that all gift cards and store credits will accepted through Friday, April 29th.
