SANTA MONICA—Now you have no excuse not to get in a workout this weekend. Tomorrow from 9-10am, Ron Robinson (1327 5th Street) is offering a free sweat sesh, led by Todd McCullough of TMAC Fitness, whose get-healthy philosophy is based around 20-minute workouts, eating natural foods, and maintaining a mind-body connection. The event is hosted by crazy cool yoga and activewear label Electric & Rose to introduce their new spring collection. Post workout treats will be provided by vegan, gluten-free hotspot Coco Bakes and Renew Juicery, and you should RSVP to email@example.com.
ARTS DISTRICT—Dreamy magic-makers Creative Collective LA, known for popping up with amazing, artistic events, is hosting a smudge wand workshop and ceremony this Sunday at 3pm in DTLA at 2nd and Santa Fe Avenue (exact address will be provided upon your ticket purchase). You'll learn to awaken your spirit and cleanse your body and mind's energy with the sacred art of smudging, beginning with a healing group meditation. Maya from Juniper & Fir will be leading the wand-making workshop, helping participants create their own wands from foraged sage, rose petals, lavender, and rosemary. The intention and smudging ceremony will continue with meditation guide Danielle Beutell, and you can expect matcha tea and nourishing treats. The workshop costs $44 and tickets can be purchased here.
