Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Guys-in-the-know are already heading to Silver Lake to shop cool clothing and wares from Mohawk Man, Shinola, and MRKT, and now the neighborhood has added another storefront to the list. County Ltd., which softly opened Friday, offers an ultra-curated selection of casual, Japanese-inspired fashions (including Lady White Co., a local t-shirt brand founded by one of County Ltd.'s owners), sleek Hasami ceramics and other modern home goods, and a combination of vintage and made-in-LA furniture and fixtures courtesy of Counter Space.
We beelined over to the beautifully minimal space—located just across the street from one of our fave recent retail additions to the hood, Mixed Business—on opening day to investigate. Despite the cheeky "T-shirts and Chairs" sign outside, we were pleased to find an immaculate collection of brands including Scout Seattle, Hachigahana, The H.W. Dog & Co., some drool-worthy vintage leather Charlotte Perriand chairs, and much more that we ladies can enjoy as well.
Currently you can check the new shop on the block during daily store hours of 11am-7pm.
