Shabby Chic's Feminine Linens Pop Up at Lily Ashwell's Venice Boutique

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

With Shabby Chic's founder Rachel Ashwell as her mother, LA-based designer Lily Ashwell has style in her DNA. That said, she opted to let mom slay the interior design game on her own, instead focusing on feminine-yet-modern womenswear. But upon stepping inside Lily's sweet Venice shop—which doesn't skimp on offering lots of dreamy housewares—it's also easy to see that the two's tastes often overlap, which is exactly what's currently happening with a Shabby Chic pop-up at the aforementioned boutique.

Rachel and Lily have carefully chosen a selection of linens (think bedding, tabecloths, napkins, etc) to feature in the shop, and they've also collaborated on some cute floral bandanas. This Saturday the pop-up—which remains through April 11th—will be celebrated with a 5pm to 8pm fiesta that features music by Jade Castrinos, flowing rosé, and a 10% discount on all purchases. You might spot us there, scooping up one of those bandanas, adorably modeled by Lily in the 'gram below.
