A huge step in Highland Park's recently ramped-up retail scene was the addition of indie designer-stocked shop Nonna, which opened last summer. We especially love the fact that this gorgeously curated boutique shows plenty of love for local labels like Lovelysky bed Quilts, Botanica Workshop, and ARE Studio—all of which will be spotlighted during an in-store event this Friday, as Nonna celebrates its brands's Spring collections.
The 5-8pm happy hour is a collaborative effort with online creative community Spur and Goad, which features and promotes a selection of makers. In addition to enjoying refreshments, attendees will be treated a visit from designers of the aforementioned LA brands, and a 15% discount on all new clothing and shoes. So besides shopping Lovelyskybed's soft and sustainable handmade bedding, Botanica Workshop's pretty and practical (and, once again, sustainable) lingerie, and ARE's minimal goods, guests can check out the latest releases from labels like Lauren Manoogian, Rachel Comey, and Horses Atelier.
