Maire Byrne is no stranger to successful businesses. As owner of two bustling Santa Monica eateries, Local Kitchen and Wine Bar and Thyme Cafe and Market, the entrepreneur knows how to appeal to the Westside nabe's community. And as of last Friday, Byrne has an entirely new crowd to cater to. A very tiny crowd, you might say.
Her latest venture, Quinnie & B, is what she's referring to as a "tiny toy shoppe" and its sweet space—located just next door to Thyme—is reminiscent of a time period well before most children's favorite playthings were digital, or even battery-operated for that matter.
The nostalgic boutique, named for Byrne's daughters Quinn and Bridget, offers a curated collection of children's toys including stuffed animals, classic games, puzzles, and crafts by beloved brands like Seedling and Eco-Kids—all of which can be shopped during store hours of 10am-6pm Monday through Saturday, and Sunday 10am-3pm.
