If you're serious movie buff, chances are that you've perused Variety online and IRL. Founded all the way back in 1905, the LA-based trade publication is a major player in the entertainment industry, offering breaking film and television news (today we learned that Emma Stone and Jonah Hill are reuniting for a TV show!), film reviews, box office results, and much more.
We recently stopped by Variety's Sawtelle office digs to see what the company's major players wear to work. We also learned about their favorite organizational apps and disdain for crop tops.
Brooke Turpin, VP of Global Consumer and Strategic Partnerships, is an IRO leather peplum jacket, ThePerfext leather pants, a Topshop cashmere tank, Christian Louboutin suede booties, and a Saint Laurent bag.
Favorite guilty pleasure in entertainment:
A show on Reelz called Autopsy: The Last Hours. Medical evidence gained from the actual autopsies of celebrities—need I say more?
Favorite movie of all time:
Forrest Gump. I've always been inspired by Jenny's style through the '60s and '70s. Disco Jenny is my all-time fave.
Favorite TV show of all time:
Mad Men. Early Don Draper was addictive! Luckily, I grew out of bad boys like him, but it's still fun to watch.

Outlook, if that counts as an app. I live by it!
Most ridiculous fashion trend:
Grown men wearing fedoras and pumas.

Most prized fashion item in your closet:
I have a pair of Westward Leaning "Theodore Roosevelt" sunglasses. A portion of proceeds goes back to American conservation. I get more compliments on these glasses, whether I am in a suit or at the beach, than anything else. I love that they were a gift from my sister, Lauren (she works in fashion in New York) and her husband, Steve. I am lucky, because when Lauren is not traveling to Paris or Milan, she keeps me up-to-date with fashion trends.

A YSL black monogramed leather clutch with gold chain. It's a classic, elegant piece that transitions well from day to night, from dinner party to black tie. This is a very special item for me because my boyfriend surprised me with it for my birthday, when I least expected it. He overheard me admiring my client's purse at an event—I never thought in a million years that he was paying attention!
