Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

SILVER LAKE—Pamper yourself clean with Pretty Suds Soap Co.'s organic, locally crafted, botanical soaps, lotions, scrubs, and essential oils, coming to Los Angeles County Store (4333 W Sunset Boulevard) for a trunk show this Saturday from 12-2pm. Scoop up freshly made bars of soap in luscious scents like lavender and cocoa butter in addition to purifying concoctions for troubled skin (the Organic Detox bar should solve just about anything).

HOLLYWOOD—Tuck in to a fun and funny night of yummy stories about food as part of The Standard's (8300 Sunset Boulevard) Talks series, hosted by comedian Greg Walloch. The evening, entitled Eat Your Words, features storytelling and presentations by some seriously funny folks, including Bethany Dwyer, Bryan Kett (The Moth, Sit 'n Spin), foodies and businessmen Sabin Lomac and Jim Tselikis, and Sam Jay. Join the fun from 8-10pm tomorrow night, and send an RSVP to hold a spot to HollywoodRSVP@StandardHotels.com.
